Conservatoire de musique de Genève

In a nutshell:

  • Today, nearly 2,500 students aged 4 to 25 learn music and theater.
  • 150 teachers, supported by 7 deans and coordinators, guide students in learning 24 disciplines.

  • Each discipline has its own curriculum, and a myriad of supplementary courses are offered either in-house or by partner schools of the CEGM.
  • Specific programs demonstrate the dynamism and modernity of our institution.
  • The CMG maintains close ties with the Geneva University of Music (HEM) and thus supports motivated and talented students from their beginnings to their entry into professional programs.
  • The CMG is present throughout the canton, with its magnificent building on Place Neuve serving as the beating heart of the institution.
  • A remarkable library is available to both young people and researchers.
  • Parents have their own representative association, ASPEM.
  • Former students wishing to continue their musical practice also have their own association, CMGénérations.
