Flautist, piccolo player and teacher, \u00c9milie Fournier began playing the flute at the age of 8. Driven from a very young age by a deep passion for her instrument, she entered the Grenoble Regional Conservatory at 14 in the class of Vincent Guillot, where she obtained her Diploma of Musical Studies in 2010. <\/p>\n
She then continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels with Baudoin Giaux, graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Music degree with Distinction. Committed to developing a robust and human-centered pedagogical approach, she pursued further training at the Lausanne University of Music in the class of Jos\u00e9-Daniel Castellon, where she obtained a Master’s degree in instrumental pedagogy in 2015. <\/p>\n
From 2015 to 2017, \u00c9milie specialized in piccolo at the Paris Conservatory (Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique de Paris) in the class of Pierre Dumail, principal piccolo player of the Paris Opera. She graduated with a virtuosity diploma, receiving the highest honors. <\/p>\n
She has furthered her studies through numerous workshops and masterclasses with internationally renowned flautists such as Magali Mosnier, Julien Beaudiment, Emily Beynon, Barthold Kuijken, Jan De Winne, Beno\u00eet Fromanger, and Isabelle Pierre.<\/p>\n
Deeply involved in chamber music, \u00c9milie regularly performs in concert with the Duo Bel\u00e9mi (flute and piano), the Trio Philia (flute, cello and piano) and the Ensemble 6rinx, a flute sextet that she founded in 2019, with which she develops participatory projects for young audiences.<\/p>\n
Passionate about teaching, she teaches flute at the Conservatoire de l\u2019Ouest Vaudois in Nyon, at the \u00c9cole de Musique Multisite (Vevey and La Tour-de-Peilz), and at AtelierF, a flute center in Gland. Since 2023, she has also been Dean of the Woodwind section at the \u00c9cole de Musique Multisite. <\/p>\n
Convinced that “where there is music, there is no room for evil” (Miguel de Cervantes), she has been collaborating since 2016 with the Crescendo con la Musica foundation, committed to providing access to music for disadvantaged children in Mexico.<\/p>\n
