Claude R\u00e9gimbald, a French flautist originally from Quebec, has given hundreds of concerts and recitals in Canada, France, Switzerland, England, Spain, Poland, and Brazil. He has recorded six albums: “La fl\u00fbte virtuose” and “Impressions qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises” on the SNE label, “La fl\u00fbte au Conservatoire de Paris” on the ATMA label, “R\u00eaverie” and “Syrinx” on the VDE-Gallo label, and a flute and harp recital, “Couleurs.” He performed Jacques Ibert’s Concerto with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra on Yugoslav national television and has appeared on numerous occasions on Radio-Canada’s cultural network, CBC Radio 2, Radio France, and Radio Suisse Romande Espace 2. <\/p>\n
Claude R\u00e9gimbald studied at the Montreal Conservatory, where he unanimously received First Prizes in flute and music analysis. Recipient of a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Qu\u00e9bec, and the Fondation de soutien aux arts de Laval, he then furthered his studies with Raymond Guiot, and obtained a First Prize from the municipal conservatories of the city of Paris; then with Maxence Larrieu, at the Geneva Conservatory, where he obtained a First Prize for Virtuosity. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Claude R\u00e9gimbald is a laureate of the Quebec and Canadian Music Competitions, the Tremplin International, the Canadian Imperial Bank National Music Festival, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra Competition, and the Journ\u00e9es de la Musique Fran\u00e7aise de Montr\u00e9al. In 1992, he won Third Prize and the Special Jury Prize at the 22nd International Jeunesses Musicales Competition in Belgrade. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
